If you can’t be Batman, then be 007

James Bond is the original assassin, spy, and gentleman. It is undeniable James Bond has great suits, gadgets, artillery, and cars. James Bond is surrounded by beautifully designed products that compliment the characters lifestyle. There have been 7 different actors that have portrayed James Bond since 1962. My favorite is the modern-day version portrayed by Daniel Craig. The first 007 that featured Daniel Craig was Casino Royale, this movie has one of the best opening credits. A ton of creativity went into making the graphics, the movement from sequence to sequence was seamless creating a perfect introduction to the new Bond.

The suits were supplied by Tom Ford. One thing that translate well is design, from fashion to products. Good design is undeniable. What I can appreciate is a well-designed and modern cut suit. To Match a great suit you need a beautiful car, of course. Aston Martin has an iconic design, in the movies you see a special guest appearance by a DB5, DBS and DB10. If you compare all 3 of those cars you will notice there is a similar design language that Aston Martin has been using all these years.

A classic watch company is Omega, who sponsors majority of the 007 movies. Omega is a beautiful well-made hand assembled watch. The automatic movement is smooth as glass, the fit and finish is just as elite as any top watch maker in the world. The other important accessory for Bond is his artillery. The handguns in the movies is of the classic variety, nothing out of the ordinary including the Walther PPK featured in most of the movies. The most interesting gun is the suppressed HK UMP 9mm, there is something about the HK UMP that makes it match the James Bond lifestyle.

Be on the look out for the new up and coming 007 No Time to Die, it has been delayed due to COVID19. This will be the last time Daniel Craig will be portraying James Bond, so it will be an end of an era. However, the best part will be seeing the re-design for the next Bond.
